The CPMER conference will be held at the Helsinki Music Center. The Music Centre is the home for two eminent orchestras, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the one and only music university in Finland, the Sibelius Academy.
The Helsinki Music Centre is located in the heart of Helsinki on Mannerheimintie Street, just in front of the Houses of Parliament. The Centre's closest neighbour is the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, and the Main Railway Station is close by. A map can be found by clicking here. Upon arrival at the Helsinki music center, please register for the conference at the lower foyer, level 1. The conference sessions will be held in Black Box and Auditorium. A floor plan of the Helsinki Music Center can be found by clicking here.
In the afternoon of Thursday 21st August, buses will be arranged to transport conference participants to Kallio-Kuninkala for a keynote session, the conference dinner and concert. Kallio-Kuninkala is a historic estate located by Lake Tuusula, approximately 30km from Helsinki. The estate is used often by the Sibelius Academy for seminars, workshops, international masterclasses and conferences.
